Specialty Funerals founder and owner Phil Smith had an interest in Hearses and classic cars as a teenager. Phil aquired and restored his first Hearse at the age of 19 and has since owned and restored a wide variety of hearses and other vehicles.

It was in the late 1990s when Phil imported his 1964 Cadillac Hearse from the USA. Soon after this, the Cadillac was requested by friends and associates that had lost a family member.. Phil got started in the Funeral industry and the Specialty Funerals business was born.
